TIA membership

TIA membership

RiT Tech is now a registered Engineering Committee Participant (ECP) in the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). ECP membership is ideal for a company or business unit looking to become deeply involved in shaping a single TIA standard. TIA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a Standards Development Organization (SDO) and therefore capable of creating US Standards.

Standards projects and technical documents initiated by TIA’s engineering committees are formulated according to the guidelines established by the ANSI Essential Requirements.

In achieving this membership status Anand Kumar, our RCDD qualified Global Product Manager RIT Tech is now a full ECP Participant. This allows RiT Tech full access to, and participation in, Technical Committee 42 (TR-42), all subcommittees, working groups and task groups.

About TR-42 Engineering Committee:

Engineering Committee TR-42 develops and maintains voluntary telecommunications standards for telecommunications cabling infrastructure in buildings such as commercial properties, data centres, industrial buildings and residential buildings etc.

These challenges are resulting to changes in approach to data centre management. This is especially true for the operational tools needed to properly manage their day to day activities in distributed data centres. A key change is the requirement for a tool that provides a single source of truth. This is not simply a single pane of glass or dashboard summary. It should include full integration with business systems and processes with the sharing of data across multiple separate systems. All assets in the business being accurately tracked, reported upon and viewed in the same consistent way by all departments sharing a single federated database.
